As title, since the Travis CI has been very slow to build for every upcoming commits and PRs, I think it's time to migrate the Travis CI to the GitHub Actions.
Once this issue is accepted by @lucasvdh, I would be happy to work on that.

Hi @peter279k thanks for the heads-up. This is definitely something I'm interested in.
I will have a look at this somewhere in the next few weeks. It has been a while since this repo has had some love so I'll probably combine it with some minor fixes and dependancy upgrades. Any contributions or help is appreciated.
