## Remarks
A <xref:System.Windows.Ink.GestureRecognitionResult> contains an <xref:System.Windows.Ink.ApplicationGesture> and the level of likeliness that the <xref:System.Windows.Ink.GestureRecognizer> correctly identified the gesture.
Use the <xref:System.Windows.Ink.GestureRecognitionResult.RecognitionConfidence%2A> property to determine the level of likeliness that the <xref:System.Windows.Ink.GestureRecognizer> correctly identified the gesture.
## Examples
The following example demonstrates how to identify a gesture on an <xref:System.Windows.Controls.InkCanvas>. This example assumes that there is an <xref:System.Windows.Controls.InkCanvas> called `inkCanvas1` and that its <xref:System.Windows.Controls.InkCanvas.Gesture> event has been connected to the event handler in the code.
