We have always said we would like to publish FCS releases that match the exact compilers released in the dotnet SDK and Visual Studio tools. Including preview Visual Studio releases. We have done a pretty bad job on that sorry about that, we will try to do better.
What you can expect in terms of releases:
On the day of release or the day before release of a full retail release of Visual Studio we will ship to nuget.org a final release of:
FSharp.Core
FSharp.Compiler.Service
On the day of release or the day after release of a preview release of Visual Studio we will ship to nuget.org a preview release of:
FSharp.Core
FSharp.Compiler.Service
The release cadence of previews and full releases is driven by quality not dates, but they are fairly frequent.

Wonderful news! Is there any way of knowing the exact date of the stable releases?
Meaning is the Visual Studio release cycle publically known?
I'd like to be better prepared for the FCS releases, just to double-check upfront if everything still works out.
Hey @KevinRansom and @vzarytovskii should there be an FCS release that matches the .NET 6 RC 1 bits?
I noticed that FSharp.Core 6 was published on NuGet.
