I still don't get it. Can you provide an analogy that makes sense for a dev?
David Fowler provided a developer analogy that explains .NET Standard in terms of interfaces and classes.

The content in that repo is largely outdated.

@davidfowl, do you wan to submit a PR for the pieces that are still useful? We should probably have fewer pieces that talk about .NET Standard than more :-)
