Summary

There should be some way to handle Windows auth, or at least documentation to direct users how to migrate.

Motivation and goals

The remote app setup allows for sharing some remote authentication schemes. However, Windows auth does not currently work in this set up. We should identify how to direct users in situations like this.

This is related to #109 (we can likely solve them both at the same time).
