cutting out backslash in project description and log

since 2.1.7 dot cuts out backslashes as path cannot be pasted into the log or description. My company stuck in 2.1.7 which is doing well with paths. Is there any reason for this or its an issue?

This will be due to security patches that reduce the likelihood of malicious code being injected by users as user-entered data. There have been some changes to this handling to try and get around these issues in the code. Check out https://github.com/dotproject/dotProject/archive/devel.zip
