Gameplay - Expanded

The good stuff. This module introduces the majority of the new and improved gameplay mechanics and features.

Frameworks

Framework package used by multiple mods. Required.

  1. Skills Module

Player Levelling

Irons out kinks and reduces metagaming in the player levelling system.

  1. Improved Vanilla Leveling
  2. Class Skill Limit
  3. Magicka Based Skill Progression
  4. MWSE Magicka Regen
  5. Personal Effects
    • Enable only the "Personal Effects_MWSE.ESP"
  6. Proportional Progression
    • Click “Clone or download” the zip of all NullCascade’s Morrowind mods
    • In MO2, set Proportional Progression as your data directory and install
  7. Proportional Progression config file
    • Enable only "01 - Improved Vanilla"
    • This custom config file enables the levelling scaling of Proportional Progression. Tweaked for Improved Vanilla levelling and Class Skill Limit.

The Proportional Progression configuration slows player levelling and adjusts skill-rate increases for most skills.

Skill Tweaks

Lightweight enhancements of existing skills, correcting oversights and making some skills more sensible and functional.

  1. Alchemical Knowledge
  2. Locks and Traps Detection
  3. Realistic Repair
    • Do not enable the ESP file; the next mod integrates repair activators into the world
  4. Realistic Repair – Add-on
    • Download and install the Main File
    • Download and install the Optional File, selecting only Realistic_Repair_Add-on - PFP Patch.ESP. Merge when prompted
  5. Silver Tongue

New Skills

Restores several skills from previous Elder Scrolls titles (and a few from newer ones), including backstabs, climbing, and sneak attacks.

  1. Brutal Backstabbing
  2. Lua Lockbashing
  3. Poison Crafting
  4. Mantle of Ascension
  5. Sneaky Strike

Expanded Magic

The Magicka Expanded framework significantly enhances magic use via MWSE. New and better spells, new and better effects, all seamlessly integrated into the game.

  1. Magicka Expanded
    • Enable the "00 - Framework," "01 - Resource Pack," and whichever spell packs you like. I prefer just the "lore friendly pack" but the other packs (particularly weather and cortex magic) are very fun to play with:
      • 00 - Framework
      • 01 - Resource Pack
      • 02 - Lore Friendly Package
  2. Enhanced Detection
    • Enable the following BAIN options
      • 00 - Core
      • 01 - Cast VFX
  3. Enhanced Detection Lite
    • Installation instructions: enable only the "Enhanced Detection Less Lite" option
  4. Enhanced Invisibility
  5. Enhanced Light
    • Enable the following BAIN options:
      • 00 - Core
  6. Enhanced Reflection
  7. Enhanced Telekinesis
    • Enable the following BAIN options:
      • 00 - Core
      • 01 - Cast VFX
  8. Miscast Enhanced
  9. Customizable MWSE Multi Mark and Limited Recall

Stealth Overhaul

Fixes the worst-implemented mechanics in the game, making thief/stealth characters fun and viable.

  1. Distraction
  2. Pickpocket
    • Complements, and is intended for use alongside, Quickloot
  3. Stealth Improved

Crime Tweaks

Further tweaks to the crime systems.

  1. Clear Your Name
  2. The Last Witness
    • Download the zip of all NullCascade’s Morrowind mods
    • In MO2, set The Last Witness as your data directory and install
  3. The Law is Sacred
    • ESP is optional (it changes a dialogue line to reflect guards' new non-lethal arrest tactics); you can leave it disabled
  4. Regional Bounty

Survival

Optional module for Merlord's survival and camping mod, Ashfall, and a complementary suite of mods. This is easily the most impressive gameplay mod around. It's sleek, easy to use, and really, really fun.

  1. Ashfall
  2. The Guar Whisperer

Sound Overhaul

Dynamic ambient sound, footsteps, and more.

  1. AURA
  2. Character Sound Overhaul
  3. Haunted Barrows
    • Enable the following BAIN options:
      • 00 Core
      • 01 Fire Sound Replacer
  4. Heartthrum
  5. Sounds of Souls
    • In the MO2 installation interface, set "Sounds of Souls" as the data directory
    • Name the mod "Sounds of Souls" and install
