I have installed qcri and application is opening successfully. However, if I try to connect ALM by providing all the required details, getting an error message (-21472210005, 'Invalid class string', None, None).

Can anyone look into it please?

I no longer have access to Quality Center, so I'm not sure I'll be able to help.

  • What Python or release version are you using?
  • Are you able to connect using the command prompt? (https://github.com/douville/qcri#command-prompt)
  • Is there any relevant information in the log file? (It should be a file named "qcri.log" in your system's temporary directory.)

Hi DouVille,

I have tried both Command as well as UI, but unable to upload into ALM. I have tried via command prompt and status is showing Import completed. However, file is not uploaded into ALM. Attaching Command prompt and Log file.

qcri.zip

cmd

Thanks,

The URL you're using looks slightly different than how ours looked. If we used the same host and port as you did, the difference would be something like:

  • Yours https://almspecsavers.saas.hpe.com/qcbin/start_a.jsp
  • Ours: http://almspecsavers.saas.hpe.com/qcbin

I'm not sure what impact your secure connection is having. The only thing I can think of is trying without the "start_a.jsp" at the end: https://almspecsavers.saas.hpe.com/qcbin.

Maybe u can try to use this tool in 32bit version of Python 2.7, since HP ALM only have 32 bit com objects to be dispatched by pywin32.
