Latest hypersnips does not work for me

Hi,

the snippets do not work anymore after upgrading to the latest version (0.2.9) and when I press ctrl+shift+p and choose any hypersnips command I get something like:

However, after I downgrade to 0.2.8, it works.

I'm new to hypersnips but I can't seem to get even the basic snippets to work. I'm basically not seeing any "hints of life" sparking from HYyperSnips. Part of me wonders if I'm using HyperSnips correctly. Would be grateful if anyone could offer some help 🥲

What I've tried:

• Adding flags i and A to the snippets.
• Downgrading to Hypersnips versions 0.2.8 and 0.2.7.
• Reloading snippets, reloading VSCode.
• Pressing tab after typing trigger.
• Inserting whitespace before trigger.

My VSCode version:
