Some notes regarding RetroBar usage in Windows 11:

  • In the Windows settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors, change "Taskbar alignment" to the left so that the new Start menu opens in the appropriate place.
  • System icons in the notification area which have been consolidated into the new Action Center (network, sound, power) still provide their old icons to RetroBar, and they do not function properly. This is being fixed as [feature request... kinda] sound button working correctly in win11 #65.
  • Quick launch icons use the context menu provided by Windows, which still seems to be the old menu. For RetroBar, this is probably a good thing.

On 11, the start menu doesn't close after opening it using the button, only spamming it does though if you do that you activate some kind of "cooldown"

This is fixed in 1.3 in my testing.

As a side note this happens if you run the Open-Shell start menu, where you have like a second before you can close the start menu normally, after that cooldown it opens once again. I don't know if @dremin would want to have fix for that though as it involves 3rd party program.

This will be fixed in the next release (as the fix for #40)
