There is an error in the android build.gradle file
"Android Gradle script error for eclipse task: java.io.File cannot be cast to org.gradle.api.artifacts.Configuration"

plusConfigurations += project.configurations.compile
should be:
plusConfigurations += [project.configurations.compile ]
