I was just about to start writing a block engine on Wgpu, then I found rustcraft. Looks like a great start!

Is this going to be an actively developed project?

If so, the first thing I'd like to contribute to is updating to Wgpu 0.8 and moving the shaders to WGSL. I don't have a lot of time or expertise, so I have no idea if this will take me 5 minutes or 5 months. Interested?

Hey, I am not really actively developing this project right now but feel free to contribute to it, I will definitely review what you do in a timely manner.

updating to wgpu 0.8 shouldn't be the worst, I don't actually have experience with WGSL but it looks good, the shaders I used are also very simple so shouldn't be too hard.

Let me know how it goes!

Oh, I just noticed that I turned off vsync so it runs fullspeed. You may or may not want to keep that.
