Raspotify not popping up after installing on Fresh Raspberry Pi OS

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on ways to troubleshoot. I've looked at the troubleshooting guide already on the repo, but I wasn't able to get much in regards to what's going on with my system.

I've got a fresh installation of Raspberry Pi OS on my Rpi 3b. I've installed the program according to the installation guide, but I don't see any available connections when I check my spotify connect, I tried to set up my login/password in the conf file, I read that it's only worth doing if I have disabled zeroconf (mDNS) discovery, which I haven't though. I'd expect I would also get those 'nagging' emails that were referred to.

I went back to basics, ensuring everything's on the same network, and it is! So I'm feeling a little stupid right now as I'm not sure why this is happening. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
