After realizing that altern=0 is actually evaluated only once before the for loop code, I managed to replicate the looks of MadJik Chaos function for his PDN Strange Attractor plugin.
I might add links later.
I think this is enough work, and it's ready. There could be more lines to cli making it clear which notes belong to which categories, but eh...
