G'MIC in Nautilus

Installation

You can open images from Nautilus with a right clic using Nautilus actions.

For Debian/Ubuntu, the installation can be done using:

sudo apt-get install nautilus-actions

The package also exists for other distributions (eg rpm for fedora).

Configuration

The open the nautilus action configuration tool (nautilus-actions-config-tool in the command line) and in the tab "Command", add:

  • Profile
    • Label: G'MIC
  • Command
    • path : gmic
    • Parameters: %b -a z
    • Working directory: %d

You can open several images in the same time, but a different command is launched for each image. Finally, the -z allows to load 3D volumes from multi-pages tiff.

Usage

Right clic on the image icon and down in the menu appear nautilus action and G'MIC.
