I need the ability to switch contexts and focus on words related to a specific situation.
I need to be able to e.g. let someone easily switch to a context focusing on discussing medical problems. This might be doable with folders or the ability to quickly switch systems. There may be other options, too.
Here are some example contexts I've ran into where any AAC software I've tried couldn't keep up:
Medical discussions
I was in the ER on Monday and, after a day of letting that experience roll around in my head, I realized this software would not handle this usecase well. Notably, I think TD Snap and Proloquo would also struggle. Proloquo doesn't really do contextual stuff, and TD Snap is a bit too much "some assembly required" (so you need a really good configuration for this).
Board games
I sometimes use AAC software while playing board games. But individual board games will frequently have very specific jargon. Things like Twilight Imperium, Scythe, and Gloomhaven are complex enough to possibly need their own specific contexts.
Software development
I sometimes want to use AAC software while discussing software development, but find that half the terminology I use isn't even available or is scattered all over the place. When else do you discuss all of types, rust, suites, cargo, bugs, blocks, and clouds in the same conversation?
