Environment info
Duplicati version: 2.0.5.1_beta_2020-01-18
Operating system: Synology DSM 6.2
Backend: Mono 5.18.0.240-12
Description
I've just upgraded to 2.0.5.1, and have now been "Starting backup.." for 24 hours, with no indication of what's going on or of progress. At a guess, it's doing a database upgrade, but on a 24GB database some hint of ETA would be appreciated: I'm thinking this task might be a candidate for moving the database to an SSD on another box for the upgrade?
Actual result: Web UI displays "Starting Backup" for at least 24h. No progress. NAS appears busy.
Expected result: Some sense of what's actually happening and when it'll finish.

Build progress display into all operations [incl. "Starting backup ..."]

I agree that the main progress bar is sometimes less than helpful.
As a workaround, try going to About -> Show Log -> Live -> and setting it to Profiling. This should show you any database queries going on behind the scenes.

Looking at things like [Feature Request] Display progress information for restoring backup #2159, Getting "Completing Backup" for over 30 hours now. #2544, Duplicati stuck on verifying backend data #3205, Minor issue: Improving the State/Progress-Bar text #3041, Progress bar does not show meaningful information during restore #3646 etc. it seems as if maybe a system-wide approach to putting progress on everything might be helpful?
Steps to reproduce
