Possible to create lastversion dnf plugin which would incorporate with DNF in a useful manner.

Current ideas:

  • dnf list new-releases would show a table of installed packages that have an update from upstream

Alternatively, name the plugin upstream is it more reflects the use case.

  • dnf upstream info to query package info and updates available
  • dnf upstream list upgrades - similar to dnf list upgrades, except shows version available updates from upstream, based on URL tag and installed/available version
