Hi,

In case of you are interested:

I applied your tool to one of my larger Org files:

    7067 headings in 138352 lines
        649 task headings
        6418 non-task headings

As you could see in other issues, I found a few bugs which I analyzed and reported.

The analyze part took: 218,14s user 1,17s system 99% cpu 3:39,35 total

I had to start the sfdp task separately because of the issues found (I fixed them manually in the dot file):

user $ sfdp -Tpng notes.org.dot -o notes.org.png
sfdp: graph is too large for cairo-renderer bitmaps. Scaling by 0.522508 to fit
sfdp -Tpng notes.org.dot -o notes.org.png 55,31s user 1,52s system 99% cpu 57,315 total

So overall, the processing time took almost five minutes on my i7-8665U.

The resulting image is 106 MB big. geeqie is able to visualize it, although performance for rendering and zooming is far from great.

In areas with dense heading, the overlap of the layout chosen by dot is that big that you can not read anything.

Thanks for your tool!

That's a really big file!

It might make more sense to view it with some graph visualisation tool that can display it dynamically rather than trying to make a huge image.

Yes, it's definitely not optimized. I'm a bit hesitant to spend time working on it though.

Thank you for reporting the issues
