Many applications (such as monitoring) may require NTP to work properly. We have two options:

  1. Have NTP through our Internet connection

  2. @raylas suggested building our own NTP server on a Raspberry Pi

@benhylau thinks having a local time provider is an excellent idea, because it's a simple piece of hidden infrastructure that people can see and learn about.

@darkdrgn2k gave me the GPS module from that post and snakard is building this. Like DNS, we can probably get NTP from our Internet backhaul, but if this module is ready we can put DHCP to this little Raspberry Pi instead!

Doesn't look like we'll have this unfortunately.
