Add alternate hostname to server connection config (e.g. internal/external)

Server connection config should support two hostnames, a primary and an alternate. On connection, the app should ping both hostnames, giving the primary a head start, and use whichever hostname pings first as the base URL. This allows one to automatically connect via an internal IP when on the LAN, and with an external URL otherwise.
