Expected behaviour:
In the Table Editor I would like to double-click a field and position a cursor at that field in the source code.

Current behaviour:
I have to manually click the "Source" button in the Table Editor. It opens the code in a new tab and positions the cursor at the top of the file. I have to find the code myself.

Hi Borut,

This makes sense and I will add some kind of code navigation to the Table Editor. It might be an additional button as the Field Name input is also an editable cell for local fields.

In the meantime, I recommend using the "AL Table Fields" screen, which is precisely designed to browse and navigate Table fields, keys, fieldgroups.

You can access it by:

  • Using "AL Studio: Table Field List" command on command palette
  • Clicking on "Fields" button on AL Home menubar

Hi Borut,

Field navigation will be available as a right-click contextmenu action on the Table editor as well.
