  • GitLens Version: 4.3.1
  • VSCode Version: 1.14.1
  • OS Version: OSX 10.12.5

Directory compare is not working for me. I get a warning message that a Git diff tool is not configured.

From the log:

getConfig('diff.tool', 'undefined')
git Error:
Failed with exit code: 1 -c core.quotepath=false config --get diff.tool cwd=''
Error: Failed with exit code: 1

I've tried setting diff.tool to vscode or vim diff. I no longer get the error, but nothing happens. Is there a recommended difftool I should be using on OSX? I figured I'd be able to browse the diffs in vscode somehow.

Oh, nevermind. Nothing was happening because I was comparing master to master. It would be nice to get a hint in that case.
