Hi! Been playing around with your Home Assistant implementation and found a couple of issues. Would love to get this working all the way but I am really new at this and not capable to try my self :(

Anyways this is what I have noticed:

  1. The current temperature of the thermostats is not showed anywhere in hass what I can see?
  2. The nobø system can be set up with magnetic sensors on windows nearby that deactivates the heat if opened, I'm not sure if this is even possible via the API but it would be great if these were visible in HassIO as well.
  3. The thermostats I HassIO shows two different temperatures, one which I think have no feature? I believe it is used on units with both heating and cooling but its confusing on these.
  4. In the nobø app it seems to be possible to change to all the different scenes but the "normal". If you set the normal in nobøs app it does not use the mode "program", it goes to "eco".

Which thermostats are you using on your radiators? Im using NCU 1R but will not hesitate to replace them with NCU 2R if necessary for better compatibility. Further Im using latest version HassIO on a raspberry pi (soon to be an intel nuc)

I hope you will continue to develop this and make it a real component, I would love it.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @bubbzy

I am not sure if the magnetic sensors are supported by the API, I have never looked for it since I only have heaters. To add support for it (if at all possible) someone who owns one should do it, or donate one to someone who can add support it :)

Point 1, 3 and 4 are issues in the hanobo project, not relevant for pynobo. Please make some issues there.

When it comes to the NCU 1R vs 2R, it looks like 1R has manual temperature control so you can only control mode. I think I have the RDC700 thermostats, so I do not know how the new ones behave.

@capelevy, do you have magnetic sensors or NCU xR thermostats?

Hi @bubbzy,

I do not have magnetic sensors, so I cannot comment on those. I have the NCU 2R thermostats. I can set temperature both in the app and on the thermostat, and it is shown in both places. I can also control the override in both places. An override set on a thermostat shows up as a zone override in the app.

You are right. I have changed my thermostats to NCU 2R and tested a little bit more. I actually uses the home-app on my iPhone primarily via HassIO and it shows up different and not working as fine there :)

Two thing that has not to do with any of those thing though is 1. Temperature shown and 2. magnetic sensors. As I mentioned before Im not capable to make this work but if would love if it was possible. Is those things even possible to get out via the API? If they are, what kind og incentive can I give one of you to fix it? :) @echoromeo @capelevy

@bubbzy , I had a (quick) look in the API datasheet and there are no references to door/window/magnetic and the only references to sensor is temperature, so you probably need to ask glen dimplex..

As @echoromeo replied above, the magnet sensors are directly linked to the thermostat, and does not send status messages to the hub: https://www.hjemmeautomasjon.no/forums/topic/267-nob%C3%B8-energy-control/?do=findComment&comment=49281

I suggest closing this issue - we cannot support this in pynobo.
