    :param data: thermo data object containing vertical profiles
    :type data: :func:`thermo_bufr` or :func:`thermo_grib`
    :rtype: dict

    :func:`thermo_data_info` returns a dict that can be used to e.g. build the title for thermodynamic diagrams.
