In the source content in Drupal, we had some multilingual content using Drupal's "entity translation" system. This means, translations of English nodes were not saved as normal node records in the database, but as language variants of the node's body and title field values. Seems we forgot to import these (as per this report).
Importing the missing content could be done automatically by extending the import script. However, as this affects only a few pieces of content, it is probably faster to be done manually by copy&paste.
