When exporting data into a file for an external CAQDAS application, the problem is of course that changes to earlier versions of that file inside the CAQDAS application cannot be taken over easily. In the case of RQDA, this esp. means adding memos / notes during analysis, and potentially also changes to code grouping.

For RQDA, an idea to fix this would be that after the initial export job, Open Ethnographer aggregates subsequent changes and additions into an R code file that can be pasted into RQDA's R console on demand to get "up to date" with the online coding content. This can made more comfortable by adding a sync URL option and sync button to RQDA, or even by syncing it automatically. In the latter case, it is effectively the same as syncing to online CAQDAS software like intended with CATMA before, but without the waiting time and required connectivity.

This is not required for basic functioning, so assigned to "much later".
