The web application loose database connection after inactivity. Could be Session timeout or most likely Tomcat-JNDI keep alive: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1842755/mysql-not-reconnecting-with-jndi-tomcat-6

are available through psi-probe. The URL to psi-probe and the logon is given in an email available in the ATKINS-EMAIL-PUBLIC FOLDER:
