Saving Palete Without File Extension

When saving a palete without specifically putting the file extension in the file name it throws this exception Unhandled exception. System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: startIndex cannot be larger than length of string. (Parameter 'startIndex')

Example:
File.act -> Save -> No Error
File -> Save -> Throws Exception

Suggestion:
Also can you make it so you can paste a hex value in, thanks
