Hi, new user here. Very exciting project. Congratulations! A Minor issue: When I click the upload files button in the web-gui, select the file on my laptop, I don't see the file in the web-gui that I would like to upload. The first time I thought I have to start over and did not click submit. Then after selecting the file for the second time I nevertheless clicked submit and voila, the file was uploaded.

I expected that I can see the name of the selected file, but as you see in the screenshot it looks as if I have not select any file to upload

Hi @TheNomad11 , thank you!!

Oh, that is really strange. When I add a file in firefox it is shown below the buttons. It should look like this:

Selection_029

What browser are you using? Did you use drag&drop or the "Select" button?

Oh, whatever browser I use I don't see it - Firefox or Vivaldi on Linux Mint

And there are no scrollbars on the right side which makes it cumbersome to scroll down the pages. Weird!

I'm a bit puzzled. Can't reproduce it. I tried with vivaldi 3.1.1929 and firefox 85.0.1. Not sure how familiar you are with the browser dev tools, there you could check whether the elements really exist or not. But I'm afraid, without reproducing there's not much I can do. I'm not on Linux Mint, but this really shouldn't make any difference.

Yes, well… this is intentional this time :) I don't like scrollbars (most of the time)… it's not a very strong opinion, so if everyone else thinks they make sense, I could add them back. But if not using docspell the first time, you know that you can scroll :-). Then it saves a little space. I admit, though, that they would make sense on the upload page . There it's not obvious on some screens.

Aha, now on both Firefox I was able to scroll down and see the message about the uploaded files during and after the upload. Might be a scrolling issue. I did not expect the page would continue as there were no scroll bars.
Do you have some power tips for scrolling without scroll bars?

Maybe I am getting old. You know, first, the scrollbars got thinner and thinner which made them hard to select, and now they seem to disappear completely

Haha, very nice, I can relate actually. My current strategy is to hit page-down everywhere out of sheer curiousity :-) It's harder on mobile devices; there scrollbars sometimes appear just to go away when I want to "touch" it …. Maybe that's why I started disliking them. But mouse scroll-wheel works and the keyboard. I hardly select the scrollbar itself. I thought nowadays people are padding/wiping/swiping their screens for this 😃

It's not the first time this comes up, I'm going to rethink this.

Closing this, scrollbars come back in the next release. But they are thin… :-/
