I started a PR to this repo to support formatted plain text as well as markdown but the changes ended up being significant (pretty much a rewrite) so I essentially forked this repo and made the changes here: https://github.com/nicksrandall/draftjs.

It's a good news!
You made great work rewriting the exporter in your project.

Possibly you will get more powerful library if choose AST as intermediate state from DraftJS to any other representation method.
