SYS COLUMNS metadata query about a table can return currently a set of fields which is different from the one returned by a SELECT * ... query, the later not returning all subfields as separate columns. Some BI tools notice this difference and warn the user.

This issue is meant as a collector of notes where this behavior can actually cause any problems.
