Kibana version: 8.3.1

Elasticsearch version: 8.3.1

Browser version: Chrome Version 103.0.5060.134

Browser OS version: windows 10 build 19044.1826

Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.): Cloud

Describe the bug: Machine learning jobs can't be cloned. When clone job is clicked, the error message: Page Not Found
The Machine Learning application doesn't recognize this route: /. You've been redirected to the Overview page. is shown. when that page finished loading which takes a significant time it shows the start job screen where you select both start and end dates of a unknown job

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a machine learning job
  2. When job is running click on clone job

Expected behavior:
Go to settings of the duplicated job

hi @Rick25-dev, could you please provide more details regarding the issue

  1. Are you running Elasticsearch and Kibana in Cloud or on-prem?
  2. What is the config of your Anomaly detection job / datafeed?
  3. Does the cloning of this job work fine after some time? (when the job is closed)
  4. Can you also share the URL from the address bar?

hi @darnautov, yeah sure,

  1. Both of them are running in the cloud
  2. The machine learning job configurations I tried it on are all single or multi metric jobs with one or two detectors, a partition field and an influencer field. I tried it in two separate environments (both 8.3.2) with multiple job configurations.
  3. No it doesn't work at all
  4. No unfortunately i can't share the URL, it is sensitive since it is connected to an environment of a customer of ours.

hey @Rick25-dev, forgot to clarify, is it Elastic Cloud deployment, or some other cloud provider?
also, did you change anything in Kibana Advanced settings, or are there any extensions/settings in your browser that might potentially prevent redirects?

I just created a deployment in Elastic Cloud and didn't manage to reproduce the issue.

Issues around navigation and license checks were fixed in #139279 for 8.4.2. Have not been able to reproduce this since that fix.
