We use the elastic fleet throughout our infrastructure with mixed use cases.
It works really well but we precieve the user experience sometimes a bit unnatural when searching for objects like hostnames on the fleet management page or have cutoff information. Therefore, I wrote some user stories from my clients and personal findings what could be an improvement in the future.
[Fleet -> Agents]
As a user, I want to search for system names in the filter bar without having to think about uppercase and lowercase so that we can find the system faster.
As a user, I want to get the result from partial writing the hostname or parts of it due to some naming conventions in companies it sometimes is easier to just type in the suffix part of the hostname so that we can find the system faster.
As a user, I want to immediately get the result while typing so that i can find the host faster (Like under "Agent policies" there the result is immediately shown).
As a user, I want to be able to rollback the agent policy to a specific revision in order to revert mistakes
[Fleet -> Enrollment Tokens]
As a user, I want to search for the Agent policy String so that i can find the related Enrollment Token faster due to the cryptic Name of the Name field of the enrollment token ( "Default (bb03ba30-e02a-4e4a-955d-1dd5b3a211a0)")
[Integrations -> Select a Integration -> Integration Policies]
As a user, I want to be able to read longer integration policy and agent policy names so that i can jump to the according policy faster.
Not worth a user story, but on the "Actions" see the different three dotted elements have depending on the view different colors (grey and blue)
