Describe the bug:
Dropdown list is not closing on double clicking the arrow icon.

Build Details:

VERSION : 8.4.0-BC5
BUILD: 55374
COMMIT: f12954223a8ad66bbbf77becc4f0557ffd1c92c3

Preconditions

  1. Kibana should be running.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to Rules tab.
  2. Now, Click on Create new rules
  3. Now, Click on Timeline template dropdown arrow.
  4. Observe on Clicking again dropdown list does not close.

Actual Result
Dropdown list is not closing on double clicking the arrow icon.

Expected Result
Dropdown list should be closed on double clicking the arrow icon.

Tested in current 8.7.0 deployment:

Preconditions:

  • Kibana should be running

Steps to reproduce behavior:

  1. Go to Security -> Create new rule
  2. Scroll down to Timeline template field --> Click on dropdown arrow 🔽

Results:
Dropdown arrow 🔽 list does not close after double clicking

Expected results:
Dropdown arrow 🔽 list should close after double clicking

Observations:

  • Double clicking of the Timeline template dropdown arrow 🔽 does not close the dropdown list
  • Tested to compare behavior in other dropdown arrow 🔽 list selections fields such as "Data View" , "Suppress alerts by" , and no issues in double clicking closure of the dropdown list and these selections work as expected.

Conclusion:

This is a bug 🐛 in the UI that is still occurring in 8.7.0.

Steps to reproduce behavior:

  1. Go to Security -> Create new rule
  2. Scroll down to Timeline template field --> Click on dropdown arrow 🔽

Results:
Dropdown arrow 🔽 list does not close after double clicking

Expected results:
Dropdown arrow 🔽 list should close after double clicking

  1. In 8.10 versions, navigate to Security --> Rules --> Detection rules (SIEM) --> Create new rule
  2. Scroll down to Timeline template field --> Click on dropdown arrow 🔽

Results:
Dropdown arrow 🔽 list does not close after double clicking

Expected results:
Dropdown arrow 🔽 list should close after double clicking
