Embedded Snapshot Visualizations 'Filter' broken; not firing _msearch call 6.2.0

Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior:
When I attempt to filter an embedded Visualization, the UI reacts accordingly but an _msearch API call is never made and so the graph never updates. I would expect the filter bar to continue behaving as normal. This is a new bug that appeared somewhere between 6.1.2 -> 6.2.0

This bug is specific to visualizations, as embedded dashboards behave as expected.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Embed a 'Snapshot' of a visualization with an iframe
2. Attempt to filter with filter bar
3. See Filter bar apply the filter without changing the underlying data

Errors in browser console (if relevant):
No errors in the browser console unfortunately

Provide logs and/or server output (if relevant):
There are no errors reported in server output

See an embedded visualization (right) fail while its embedded dashboard counterpart (left) succeeds to filter
