Range filters on scripted fields do not work

Elasticsearch version: 8.14.0-SNAPSHOT

Describe the bug:

Creating a range filter on a scripted field via the "Add a filter" dialog no longer works.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a numeric scripted field
2. Add a filter (+ button) where the value for the field is between a range
3. Observe that there are no results

Expected behavior:

The matching results would be shown.

Any additional context:

When you click "Edit as query DSL" after creating the filter manually, it shows regular ES DSL (which doesn't work with scripted fields):

However, when you click "Edit as query DSL" after creating the filter through a histogram click, it shows the correct script:
