More than 10000 values in Vega Visualization

The ability to show more than 10k results in Vega visualizations. Vega Visualizations allow for viewing generic data and preforming more complex query syntax than "out of the box" Kibana visualizations. However, a major limitation is the 10,000 limit on results according to index.max_result_window that is imposed in a standard query.

I would like to create a Vega scatter plot that shows more than 10000 data points, or a Vega geographic map visualization that shows more than 10000 coordinate points

Hi,

that setting is something that is configured in Elasticsearch on a per index basis. If you want to exceed that limit you need to change your index settings in Elasticsearch (see https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/index-modules.html#dynamic-index-settings). There is nothing we can do on the Kibana side to work around this.
