Today, with charts generated using a "Split charts", charts title are a vertical description, on the left like:

Top 5 foo_bar: baz

It's hard to read, even harder if the field is long, like "Top 5 foobarfoo_barfoobar: baz", in this case, "baz" is out of the chart: only "Top 5 foobarfoo_bar..." is displayed, so we don't know which chart is this.

Also it take a lot of time to turn my head 90° to read it for each chart ^-^

It may be a cool feature to allow to display the value (and only the value, not the whole "Top 5 field_name: value") as an horizontal title for the chart ?

I opened #4122 and updated your ask to only be for horizontal labels.

I'm not sure where to place the label, is there a norm about this ? Due to the "window style" of Kibana, titles are placed in the "title bar" of charts, so on top of them, it may be distracting to put them under, mixing "top titles" and "bottom titles", dunno...

Any update on this issue? For me it is really cumbersome. If I split the bar chart, then the chart titles are cut off:
