Describe the feature:
Open Discover
Click on a location field
Click "Visualize"

Coordinate map visualization is opened to see data for the selected field. Instead, the new Maps app should open.

@elastic/kibana-app The current implementation for the visualize button is tangled with angular, button in angular template here and field.details.visualizeUrl set in scope here. What are the current plans for converting Discover to react? Can we fix this behavior and link users to the Maps application without creating large merge conflicts? Fixing this is a high priority for the Maps team because we would like to avoid directing users to legacy coordinate map visualization.

In order to provide a good user experience with displaying clusters when there is lots of data and displaying individual documents when there is less data, this is blocked by #57879. Once blended layers exist, the issue can be resolved relatively easily. The button can just link to Map application with new initialLayers URL parameter. The initialLayers URL parameter will just contain a single blended layer for the indexPattern/geoField.
