Testing of package installation (deb/apt, rpm/yum)

  • Not just for “fresh” (remove+install) installs, but also yum and apt upgrades. Also test package upgrade of Kibana without first stopping the service
  • Confirmation of tests will be better we also ensure that Kibana can start up and operate successfully (in addition to verifying files that are installed on disk).

Will help prevent future package upgrade/install issues like the following:
