The CSV uploader is hard to discover.

By having a way to add data directly from within Lens and Discover we can simplify the user flow to get local data visualized in Kibana.

Unclear parts:

  • Where exactly is it advertized? In the index pattern picker? In the workspace? Both?
  • How does the integration work? Switching over to the data visualizer, then getting back to Lens? All inline?
  • Should we allow to access Discover/Lens/Dashboard without configured index pattern?
