Spritmonitor.de is the world's largest community-based catalog of real-life car emissions. Based on its front page, currently 800.000 vehicles' fuel consumption data is logged through its smartphone app.
I believe that it's much easier for a concerned citizen to get his CO2 emission based on fueling data (which is exact and needs around one submission per month) than trying to estimate his daily driving habits (either based on 3rd party sources or frequent, daily submissions which is prone to be inaccurate after a while).
The expected functionality would be that once a user logs a fueling in the Spritmonitor app, and it appears on his vehicle profile (example), it would be fetched by the upcoming Tmrw app.

I understand that the app is community-based and you are looking for developers implementing the ideas straight away. Unfortunately, I have no previous experience with website scraping and Spritmonitor doesn't seem to offer a documented API. I wanted to submit this suggestion nevertheless, so that you're aware of this site.
