Your use case

Component of #499, tangentially related to #2453

What would you like to do?

An option to change room-level nicknames and avatars in multiple / all rooms within a space at once.

Why would you like to do it?

Element seems to be missing batch actions for spaces in many places - room permissions, nickname and avatar changes, joining rooms in a space, etc. It would be good to have these for convenience's sake, especially if spaces are meant to be a sort of unifying thing the same way a server is in comparable chat clients. I can say personally that changing this for 13 different rooms is not fun.

The intent given https://element.io/blog/spaces-the-next-frontier/ seems to be unifying moderation and changes to rooms within a space in general, so this issue may better belong in a larger one concerning that, though I was unable to locate one.

How would you like to achieve it?

It would likely be best to wait for #499 to have GUI elements added for the commands, so one could tick a 'select all' checkbox or just select rooms from a list to select which rooms to adjust these in. As-is I'm unsure how one would best do this with a command other than just adding an 'all-in-space' flag at the end like -R or something.

Have you considered any alternatives?
