To the best of my understanding, home currently contains only rooms that aren't in a space.

There's not much about the word "home" or the icon that signifies that, and it can be difficult to infer that this is the behaviour given it isn't strictly applied to Favourites and People.

We should consider using a different metaphor, or providing a bit more information in the home tooltip.

Maybe there could be an explanatory thing at the bottom of the room list where spaces normally show their quick actions?

+100 for the explanatory text suggested above

Yet, I also wonder whether "Home" is the right word? Since it regroups "(almost) everything not in a space" + "all DMs" + "favorite group discussions even if they are in a space", it feels more like a slightly disorganized mess, than a properly organized "home", to me 😅.
