I would really glad to see this in the Pantheon. As a separate options for notifications maybe? IMO, it's very useful. You can go out from the computer for 5-10 minutes and then have like a quick overview of everything's happened. It's not always convenient to check the notification centre for the most recent updates, especially when you usually forget to clear all notifications and the indicator constantly show that there's something new. But you already don't pay any attention to this because it always has a red dot.
So yeah, I hope I've explained myself correctly =) This option would be nice to have!
