There seems to be a regression on the debug-log branch that causes sendpay to fail with Bad Signature. This is a 1-hop test payment on testnet. The receiving node apparently provides an invalid signature when returning the commit transaction, or the sender validates the signature incorrectly.

The problem was not there in the master branch. Currently bisecting to find where the bug was introduced.

After attempting to debug this, I could no longer reproduce it. Closing for now.
