Licensing issues?

I wonder if there might be a licensing problem with extracting your reviews from sites whose terms of use make you surrender your copyrights. Is this the case with any of the sites supported?

None of the sites supported require a full transfer of copyright. Generally, the terms are similar to this (from Yelp):

you grant us an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, modify, prepare derivative works, publish, distribute and sublicense the Feedback, and you irrevocably waive, and cause to be waived, against Yelp and its users any claims and assertions of any moral rights contained in such Feedback.

You're basically opting into distributing your work under a Yelp-Only License, but if you yourself want to attach more permissive terms, you can certainly do so.

Beyond that, some might argue that use of the extension violates terms of use against scraping. I don't think it does, since it does not facilitate wholesale extraction of content, only downloading the user's own contributions. In any event, such violations are immaterial to the question of copyright.
