Is there a possibility that the users of my application can access / modify the data I store using this package ?

For example, if my app users have development knowledge (Hackers). Is there a chance that they are able to modify the data I store using this package ?

If they can, how do you suggest I can protect against this ? I am new to react native. I am sorry if I am asking a silly question.
