Inputstream Adaptive / Widevine

Running 17.6 on Debian x64. Latest version of viaplay and 0.3.3 of inputstream adaptive.

Has tried the workaround in #9 but the script now just say it's been marked as obsolete so the script doesn't work. I removed the files for inputstream under addon_data and when starting a stream the plugin downloaded the widevine again. But I still get:

Is 17.6 no longer supported? Do I need the Leia build for this to work?

I have the exact same problem on Raspberry Pi3, OSMC September Build (2018.08-2) and KODI 17.6. Latest version of the Viaplay plugin as well.

Last code commit is from mid 2018, is the author still working on the plugin?
In any case, I have the same exact issue on a very fresh install of LibreELEC 9.0.0 on RaspberryPI 3 (I actually went through 4 different OS-es in one evening, none of them worked). Is there any chance anyone will look into this anytime?

Interestingly, when I updated manually to the package posted in the other issue it started working. Why isn't this part of the official kodi repository?
